Geck B.

he/they

Geck got his start working with animals in highschool after many years of dreaming, telling everyone around him he would eventually become a vet. He started with agricultural sciences working hands on with livestock and farm animals, before transitioning into volunteer work at the Oregon Zoo. After graduating he would work for the Oregon Zoo before moving into the veterinary field. He has experience providing medical care for exotics, pocket pets, and small animals in a professional setting.

Geck most recently worked at a local animal urgent care for 2.5 years before joining the team at Brooklyn Yard Veterinary Hospital, and loves having the ability to get to know clients and their companions, something he wasn’t able to do in the fast-paced urgent care setting. As of 2025, Geck is beginning volunteer work with the Portland Animal Welfare Team and Rabbit Advocates in his free time, hoping to give more to his community and help people and animals in need. Eventually, he would love to pursue schooling to become a certified veterinary technician or to work in conservation genetics to help different groups of flora and fauna prosper.

Outside of work, Geck can be found diving into any number of his various hobbies and passions. From art to cosplay and writing, reading, gaming, playing tabletop RPGs, collecting bones, or just disappearing into the forest to be surrounded by nature. He has an endless thirst for knowledge and is always trying new things, making it seem like he knows a little bit about everything. He can also be found lovingly parenting his miniature zoo at home, consisting of three rabbits, three cats, and a very active pup.
